The Grand Orange Lodge of British America – operating as Orange Benefit Fund, was established in Canada in 1881 by a Special Act of the Parliament of Canada and began issuing life insurance policies to Canadian members.

This provided a much‑needed safety net for families who had previously relied on other means such as church communities to come to their aid when faced with illness or the loss of a primary income.

To this day, Orange Benefit Fund remains steadfast in its desire to help its members in their time of need.
